ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property)

ICCROM is an intergovernmental organization established in 1956 under the auspices of UNESCO, with its headquarters in Rome, Italy. It is dedicated to strengthening the conservation of cultural heritage worldwide by advancing knowledge, building professional capacities, and promoting good practices. Through training programs, collaborative research, and policy advocacy, ICCROM supports its Member States in safeguarding heritage from both gradual deterioration and sudden disruptions, whether due to environmental decay, natural disasters, or conflict-related damage (ICCROM, n.d.).
